Learn about the amazing resources the College of Education and Human Services has in Alexander Hall to help support you!

Our student collaboration labs are perfect for working on a group project, gathering for a study session, or practicing for a presentation. Enjoy connecting with friends, or taking a short break between classes in one of our two student lounges on the second floor.

Make sure to take advantage of our Student Success Center, on the second floor, that offers everything from tutoring and study groups, to workshops, to Praxis collaboration. Finally, don't forget to check out the Curriculum Materials Center, on the third floor for resources such as professional development books and children's literature.

Student Success Center

The Student Success Center is here to help you on your pathway to success. They can support you through each checkpoint on your path from admission to Teacher Education into student teaching and through teacher certification.

They offer resources for Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators (CASE) reading, writing and math exams and Praxis content tests.

Curriculum Material Center

The Curriculum Material Center is a professional collection of teaching tools typically used in public schools that includes the following types of materials:

  • Textbook sets

  • Kits

  • Literature Books - picture and chapter books for preschool through high school, including Caldecott and Newbery Award-winning titles.

  • Professional books on school safety, psychology, counseling, curriculum, school administration, early childhood, reading, physical education, assessment, special education, and other subjects taught at the College of Education

  • Praxis test study guides

  • Multimedia items - CDs, Videos, Audio Cassettes, DVDs, Puppets, Dolls, and Games

  • Laminator, Paper Cutter, and Ellison Block System
