Character Trait Lesson

To teach what a character trait is through examples and definition.

To find evidence in texts which demonstrate character traits.

Chart of character Traits. It is helpful for students to have a list of character traits before them since they often do not have the vocabulary readily accessible for naming them.

Suggested 3rd grade books that develop character: Freckle Juice; Chalk Box Kid and Molly's Pilgrim, 100 Dresses (a challenging book)
